FUTURMOTIVE - EXPO & TALKS STARTS TOMORROW

The aim of Futurmotive – Expo & Talks is to guide exhibitors and visitors towards the future of mobility. The international exhibition on the future of mobility, for energy and ecological transition and innovations in the automotive sector starts tomorrow 16 November at the Bologna Exhibition Centre and which, until Saturday 18 November, will offer a complete overview of the mobility sector of the future.

The event is held in two halls, 14 and 19, and numerous initiatives have been scheduled: Futurmotive – Expo & Talks not only gives space to the innovations of the companies taking part, but also to the insights provided by the Futurmotive Talks programme.

All this in an event with a broad international scope: Since its first edition, Futurmotive – Expo & Talks has received the full support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA, the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies. The contribution of the institutions means there will be over 44 foreign operators involved from the following markets: China, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UK, USA and Vietnam. Depending on the market, the operators will include start-ups, innovative SMEs and automotive industrial clusters from the OEM sector that have developed innovative products and services related to the mobility of the future, as well as importers and distributors. The meetings scheduled to take place at the International Delegates and B2B Area, in hall 14, will focus on technology transfer to the supply chain of Italian component OEMs and car designers.

Innovation Walk

The support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA – Italia Trade Agency, has also helped the organisers of Futurmotive – Expo & Talks to develop Innovation Walk, a journey that takes you through both halls, 14 and 19, dedicated to Futurmotive that focuses on innovations regarding components and mobility services, together with innovative equipment and instruments for the maintenance of the future. Innovation Walk is an itinerary designed for professional operators, academics, members of research centres, university and high school students and introduces them to the best technologies in a sector that is in the midst of a major transformation. Sixteen of them will be exhibiting their innovations along the route.

Startup area

When we talk about innovation and creating new technologies and services for the mobility of the future, we cannot help but think of startups: the two halls of the Futurmotive – Expo & Talks will also host three areas dedicated to the most innovative emerging companies in the mobility sector. However, that’s not all. Each startup present at Futurmotive – Expo & Talks will have the opportunity to present itself to industry professionals and visitors at two Pitch ‘n Match events that will take place on 16 and 17 November at 14:30, both during the Arena Innovation Workshop in hall 14.

The Future of Tyre Technology

The area dedicated to the tyre supply chain The Future of Tyre Technology, is located in hall 19. Major innovations are being developed at every stage of the industrial tyre supply chain that will soon become the standard for future mobility.  The collective area The Future of Tyre Technology brings together the main players in the sector. It aims to show the place of the tyre industry in the evolution of mobility, through the innovations presented by the participating companies. 

The Futurmotive – Expo & Talks conferences and workshops

Numerous conferences will be held at Futurmotive Expo & Talks: the conference rooms of the Centro Servizi on the first floor of the Bologna Exhibition Centre, and the two Arena Innovation Workshops, again built with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA, the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies, in halls 14 and 19, will be the venue for high-profile meetings and debates. They will involve representatives of Italian and European institutions, members of research centres and industry representatives. A very broad range of topics will be covered, ranging from the challenges of decarbonisation in the mobility sector, to energy sources, from technological investment strategies in Italy and Europe to the transformation of the labour market in the energy transition. In addition, there will be two great opportunities dedicated to an in-depth analysis of the motorsport sector, namely the Report on connected and electric cars presented by SICURAUTO.it. This event is dedicated entirely to the use of artificial intelligence in the car design and engineering sector, a conference on the future of retreading and an important in-depth study dedicated to developments in Italy and Europe regarding inspections. Futurmotive – Expo & Talks will also be the setting for the first edition of Sustainability Day, an exclusive event organised by the Forum on Automotive Aftermarket Sustainability, the result of the joint commitment of two reference associations for the automotive sector at European level, CLEPA and FIGIEFA.
