HOW TO GET TO BOLOGNAFIERE

It is recommended to consult the following official sources for updates regarding construction sites and changes to urban public transport, in order to better plan your journey:

Important! Ring Road Exit No. 8 (on Viale Europa heading to the center) will be closed from Monday, Sept. 23 to Friday, Sept. 27 from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Public transport to and from BolognaFiere

Take buses no. 35 and 38 from Piazzale Medaglie d’Oro in front of the central train station to BolognaFiere (4 km away), and buses no. 35 and 39 to return to the railway station. Buses stop at the Piazza Costituzione and Viale Aldo Moro entrances.

Take Bus no. 28 from the city centre (less than 5 km away) for BolognaFiere.

Bologna Central Station is one of the largest railway hubs in Italy and Europe, handling over 700 regional, intercity and high-speed trains a day. Operated by Trenitalia and Italo, high-speed trains connect Bologna with the rest of Italy and many European cities.

From the central station, BolognaFiere can be reached:

  • By TAXI – taxi stands at the main Piazza Medaglie d'Oro exit and at the Kiss&Ride lower floor via Carracci exit
  • By CITY BUS - TPER bus numbers: 35 – 38 from Piazzale Medaglie d’Oro
  • ON FOOT – 30 minutes’ walk from the via Carracci exit

The "BolognaFiere" train station operates during high-attendance trade fairs, with trains to and from the main railway station stopping here.

The Bologna Exhibition Centre is 8.5 km from the Intercontinental Airport Guglielmo Marconi, served by numerous airlines connecting Bologna with Italian, European and non-European destinations.

From the airport, take a taxi to BolognaFiere (distance 8.5 km).

The airport also has a monorail train, the Marconi Express, linking the airport with Bologna Central Station in 7 minutes.

Private cars and transport

BolognaFiere is the first Exhibition Centre with a dedicated motorway exit, allowing direct entry to the fair grounds.

Arriving from Florence, Milan and Ancona: take the "BOLOGNA FIERA" exit on the A14 highway.

From Padua (the A13 motorway), exit at the Arcoveggio toll, then take the Bologna ring road in the direction of San Lazzaro, leaving at exit 8 (Nord, Michelino, Moro and Michelino Parking entrances) or at exit 7 (Costituzione entrance and carpark).

The car sharing service allows people to get to the trade fair by reserving a driverless rental car.
In Bologna, a car sharing service is offered by Enjoy and Corrente.
The service RideMovi provides pedal-assisted bicycles (e-bikes) and muscle-powered bicycles equipped with 3-speed gearboxes. Through the App, you can consult the map and locate the nearest bicycle to reach the fair.
BolognaFiere has a convenient heliport inside the exhibition centre.

BOLOGNA 30KM/H CITY

Since January 2024, in Bologna, the new 30 km/h speed limits have been implemented on 70% of urban roads: a city that puts the focus on people’s health and aims to eradicate road deaths.

Access and services for people with disabilities
Special access points and services are provided for all visitors with disabilities, reduced mobility or needing wheelchairs.

Take exit no. 8 from the ring road; there are reserved parking spaces at the public entrances on Via Michelino and Piazza Costituzione.
