17/02/2026HENOTO: AS ONE CYCLE COMES TO AN END, A NEW GLOBAL PHASE BEGINS WITH THE LAUNCH OF HENOTO MIDDLE EAST
Bologna, 22 December 2025
HENOTO – a BolognaFiere Group company and one of the leading international players in the sector of exhibition stands and temporary architecture – is opening its new Henoto Middle East headquarters in Dubai, marking the beginning of a new phase of global expansion.
The new structure was conceived following the completion of the Henoto USA project, which signalled the end of the business journey begun by the Griggio family with GiPlanet, later transformed into HENOTO, the now well-established international platform. In 2018, BolognaFiere and the Griggio family embarked on an ambitious project to bring together their combined know-how and strategic vision to create a player capable of competing on a global scale. This complex, but ultimately successful, process was built on the capacity of the two partners to harness the strengths of different organisational cultures and forge them into a single identity: the current HENOTO, today one of the global leaders in the sector.
Dubai now represents the first step in a new season of development. Henoto Middle East is headed by Luca Griggio, who will work with an international team and a network of specialised operators who have integrated the Henoto Production System (HPS) into their processes. The model guarantees high quality standards, rapid execution and entirely local production. This evolution has given rise to the concept of “infinite capacity”, based on an end-to-end model that is scalable in every market.
“The HENOTO project and its international positioning,” states Gianpiero Calzolari, Chairman of the BolognaFiere Group, “demonstrates that combining the expertise of SMEs with the strategic business capabilities of large companies creates a mix in which the flexibility and tailor-made quality of the former are boosted by the adoption of industrial development plans that are essential for global competitiveness. The creation of Henoto Middle East (in which HENOTO holds a 51% stake) opens up a new growth pathway in expanding markets that are attracting the attention of companies around the world. We will offer products and services that meet local needs in the Middle East, consistent with the quality standards that have underpinned the success of the HENOTO project worldwide. To Luca Griggio, who will lead the project in the Emirates, we extend our thanks for his collaboration over the years and wish him the best of luck for the new challenges ahead of us.”
“Our business model has been key to the success of the Worldwide project,” explains Luca Griggio. “In just 24 months, Henoto USA has achieved $15 million in turnover, with a forecast of reaching $20 million by 2026. The operational offices in New Jersey, Atlanta and Las Vegas testify to the solidity of a project that has confirmed our expertise in custom installations, collective installations and in the role of general contractor. The Group’s future will be built on these foundations.”
The conclusion of the US project marks the end of a crucial cycle for HENOTO and, at the same time, the conclusion of the Griggio family’s business journey in the exhibition industry. The experience gained will now pave the way for new business ventures, while HENOTO continues with an international development plan based on innovation, quality and sustainability.
Version 2.0 of the original operating model will be launched in the Emirates: an approach focused on total quality, competitiveness and sustainability, introducing a genuine paradigm shift. The technologies and skills developed first at GiPlanet and now at Henoto will be presented in an integrated form at Euroshop 2026.
The three cornerstones of the HENOTO proposal
- Beauty – top end design interpreted according to local cultures.
- Speed – Ultra-fast implementation times.
- Competitiveness – Eliminating the need for intermediaries by sourcing local production.
GROUP RESULTS
In the first half of 2025, HENOTO generated €66.9 million (+20% on 2024), with over 560,000 m² of installations at more than 170 events. Projections estimate 2025 turnover at over €100 million.
With over 20 locations worldwide and more than 300 employees, HENOTO continues to expand its international presence thanks to an industrial model that combines innovation, sustainability and quality.
