Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN brings the business of beauty to Bangkok

Daily themed programmes, signature trends and demos, and sophisticated networking

[Bangkok, 14 September 2023] – Excitement is mounting during the run-up to the second edition of Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN. The B2B event, organised by BolognaFiere, Informa Markets, and China Beauty Expo (CBE), will be held from 14 to 16 September 2023 in a new location the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, in Thailand’s dynamic City of Smiles, Bangkok. With a focus on South-East Asia’s fast-growing beauty market, the exhibition will gather the cosmetics industry’s global professionals, and present the current and upcoming trends, most exciting brands and latest innovations, from supply chain to branded finished product.

This year, the exhibition will be bigger and bolder (+50% from last edition), hosting more than 1,000 exhibitors and brands, 57% of exhibiting companies are coming from overseas countries thanks to the active support of international governments, as well as trade associations, fuelling enthusiastic participation and paving the way for new business opportunities. In addition, five Country and Group Pavilions will join this edition, representing core beauty destinations China, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Thailand.

The supply chain sector, dedicated to beauty industry solutions, is also registering a significant year-on-year growth, with beauty suppliers representing 60% of the show and 40% of exhibiting companies are from finished products sector. In only its second year, Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN has already become a reference hub for entrepreneurs and experts in raw materials and ingredients, machinery, packaging, contract manufacturing, private label and equipment. China and Thailand are the best represented countries in supply chain solutions, while Korea is the top country for branded finished products. Italy confirmed its participation for the second year.

Among top exhibitors, Acr Intermation, Better Way (MISTINE), Brother Global, Cosmax Thailand, Cotril, Defender, Elvis Elvin, Giffarine Skyline Laboratory & Health Care, Ilc International Laboratories, Karmarts, Public Company, Kbf Interpack, Life Innova International, Milott Laboratories, Mmk Plus International, M.S. Union Interprice, Pathawin, Revomed, Seven Star Pharmaceutical, S&J International Enterprises Public, Simon & Tom Barcelona, Six Plus New York, Spc Cosmetic, Speciality Innovation, Thai Hoover Industrial. For the first time, the machinery sector will be represented by a selection of companies participating with ITA – Italian Trade Agency: Duetti Packaging, Lorenzato, RC Stampi, and Timatic.

Visitor attendance also looks favourable. Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN is set to attract over 12,000 attendees, including around 250 top buyers from Thailand, ASEAN countries and Europe. More than 36% are expecting from overseas countries, close to 20% from EU, Middle East and rest of the world. Thanks to Cosmoprof’s successful signature Buyer Program, exhibitors and qualified buyers will be able to connect easily, while the Match&Meet platform will help them identify key peers and schedule meetings while on the show floor, contributing to inspire new partnerships and result in new business contracts.

To ensure the most personalized and targeted visit of the show floor possible, this year’s edition will highlight specific areas of the expo. Beauty Made in Thailand is a new business initiative created to support Thai SMEs in international markets, by showcasing the best proposals from local growing brands and cutting-edge supply solutions. Meanwhile, Medical Beauty is a project specifically designed for the professional sector, presenting what’s new and attractive for interested targets.

Not-to-be-missed are the educational sessions of CosmoTalks and CosmoForum, with seminars and round tables dedicated to macro trends, hot topics and market insights currently viral within the beauty industry. Among the confirmed main partners are ACA - ASEAN Cosmetics Association, Asia Cosme Lab, BEAUTYSTREAMS, Euromonitor International, Thai Industrial Hemp Trade Association, Unilever Beauty & Wellbeing SEA, Milott Laboratories, UDN Packaging Corporation, REVOMED (THAILAND) CO., LTD. Contents will deal on specific topics for each exhibition day.
In addition, Cosmo Onstage will present live demos and performances, and a nail competition to beauty and spa professionals. The Eyelashes Demonstration: Fantasy for Beauty, will be held in collaboration with INCA and Bangkok Beauty Academy. Run by renowned expert Ms Jingjo, attendees will be amazed by her artistry, and the creative looks possible just using eyelashes. Meanwhile, NAILPRO® Competitions ASIA-THAILAND 2023- 2024, organised by NAILHOLIC magazine, will showcase the incredible transformations possible to nails, with category competitions including soak-off gel application, sculptured nails and French twist. Not-to-be missed is the brand presentation delivered by handpicked exhibitors.

The 2023 edition will also launch the first edition of World Massage Meeting, organised in collaboration with EMA – European Massage Association, which will present the connection between eastern and western cultures, and review a spectrum of practices from time-honoured traditional techniques to the most cutting-edge technologies available today. The holistic practitioners participating in the event are iconic figures in the sector, including Ms Monika Opoldova, Member of the Scientific Steering Committee of EMA and Massage Therapist and three renowned Thai Massage Therapists and Teachers, Ms KRU KAE, Mr Phrapakorn Paktharakansorn, and Mr Suthep Boonbamroong.
