The New Multi-Purpose Arena is a visionary architectural project located within the BolognaFiere District. Designed as an iconic, sustainable landmark, it will be a premier destination for major international exhibitions, sporting events, live entertainment, and large-scale gatherings.
The new, 24m height venue will have a total surface area of 12,000 square meters and seat approximately 10,500 spectators. A flexible, modular, energy-efficient facility, it is designed to host international trade fairs and congresses, high-profile sporting competitions, concerts, and major live events.
The arena will occupy the site of Hall 35, now demolished, a strategic location between Piazza Aldo Moro connecting Bologna’s city center with the emerging TEK district and Viale della Fiera. The venue will benefit from excellent accessibility thanks to direct connections with the city’s public transportation network (including the future Red Tram Line), as well as Bologna’s main ring road and motorway system.
